- Karmê Chöling panorama
As we walked back to the car, I snapped the 3 shots that make up this panorama.
- Buddha's Pond
Buddha watches over the coi in the pond. There are also frogs and at least one very protective red-winged blackbird.
- Fungi Tree
This tree interested me. Interesting mushroom growth, and bark texture.
This view shows the main building on the right, the dining hall in the middle, and the meditation and dormitories on the left.
- Main Building
Another view of the main building.
This is a beautiful, calming room. We all sat for about 10 minutes.
- Outdoors Becomes In
Sarah's dad tells us that when he and the others were expanding the connected buildings in the 70s they ran into this ledge rock, and built around it. It is a really neat spot that has a drainage system under it to drain the water that will inevitably seep in through the rock from the hill side.
- Welcoming Door
This is the entrance to the main building and acts as the reception area inside. We met the gardener, who introduced himself as "Yung," has done a lovely job with the grounds. He also is in charge of the vegetable gardens and the greenhouse.
- Knot of Eternity
This is the building where the main meditation room is.
