Cold Mourning Dove
Decided that a snow bank in the sun was the best place to warm up.

A Museum of Cedar Waxwings
I am not sure why the other collective noun for Cedar Waxwings is an Ear-Full. I haven't heard them make any noises. They generally congregate when there are ripe wild strawberries.
Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker
This sapsucker is sure a messy eater at the feeder. Female rose-breasted grosbeak isn't sure what to make of this either.
Rose-Breasted and Indigo Bunting
The brown bird on the left is a female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, and the blue bird on the right is the shiny and colourful Indigo Bunting.
Rose-Breasted Grosbeak
One of the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks that hangs around the feeder. This time taking a break on the hops trellis.
Eastern Bluebird
So glad to see that a number of Eastern Bluebirds have moved in. I need to add another birdhouse though. The Bluebirds hang out and hunt from the top of the holder for the hummingbird feeder. This feeder is about 10 yards from the seed feeder. The Bluejays raid the seed feeder often, but if they so much as stop for a breather on the hummingbird feeder the Eastern Bluebirds attack them!

Another angle of the same bird. The best thing about having the Bluebirds so close is they eat bugs. After being chomped by blackflies recently, I am glad to have these beauties around.
Rose-Breasted and Pine Grosbeaks
The Rose-Breasted and Pine Grosbeaks reluctantly share the feeder. You can sense the tension in their postures.
