- Rose-Breasted and Indigo Bunting
The brown bird on the left is a female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, and the blue bird on the right is the shiny and colourful Indigo Bunting. - Rose-Breasted Grosbeak
One of the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks that hangs around the feeder. This time taking a break on the hops trellis. - Eastern Bluebird
So glad to see that a number of Eastern Bluebirds have moved in. I need to add another birdhouse though. The Bluebirds hang out and hunt from the top of the holder for the hummingbird feeder. This feeder is about 10 yards from the seed feeder. The Bluejays raid the seed feeder often, but if they so much as stop for a breather on the hummingbird feeder the Eastern Bluebirds attack them! - Eastern Bluebird
Another angle of the same bird. The best thing about having the Bluebirds so close is they eat bugs. After being chomped by blackflies recently, I am glad to have these beauties around. - Rose-Breasted and Pine Grosbeaks
The Rose-Breasted and Pine Grosbeaks reluctantly share the feeder. You can sense the tension in their postures. - Rose-Breasted and Pine Grosbeaks
Another angle of these two beauties. - Pine Grosbeak and Goldfinch
Lots of color at the seed feeder today. - Dogs are thankful for the warm sunshine.
- Mickey doesn't like having his photo taken, but he is so adorable I had to do it.
- Haley tries to stay warm
