- Ram Closeup
This Ram was chewing on some grass and looked up at me.
- Adult Ram
The adult rams are kept in a separate field (for obvious reasons). Despite the big horns they are quite docile. They are a bit shy though, so Linda (Maple Ridge Farm) grabbed one by the horns to let us pet him.
- Lamb Ram
This is one of the lambs born this past April. They are soooo tiny, but I couldn't really capture a shot that showed that.
This is the field where the adult females were being kept at the time of our visit. So many different colors of sheep.
- Guard Llama
This is the llama that guards the flock. He was always on the alert, and knew where we were. He didn't seem all that interested in getting near us though. He is apparently a nice llama, but not a petting llama.
- Sheep Shacks
The shacks in the distance are where the sheep sleep, I believe. However, with their heavy coats, sheep don't need to be indoors even in the harsh Vermont winters.
Another pretty ram, doing one of the 4 things sheep seem to do.
