Caramel's Ewe Lamb
This little girl's a beauty! Can't wait to see what she looks like when she's a little older. Wavy white fleece with a few brown spots and specks thrown in for extra cuteness.
Mother and Daughter
Caramel is another first-time mother, who had a lovely 8lb 2oz ewe lamb in the early hours of 11 April.
Anisette's Twins
It is good to see the twins sleeping close together. Hopefully they begin to smell enough alike that Anisette will accept the brown one again. Fingers crossed, Flickr nation.
Marking
In this photo one can see Caramel's ewe lamb's markings from above. Those are brown flecks on her back, and light brown spots on her ears.
Little Cow Lamb
She looks like a little cow! Note: Sorry, I did a quick (and poor) job of "Photoshopping" the glowing eyes of the lamb. She's having a hard time as it is, she doesn't need to be demonized!
Nuzzles
Again, great to see these two being as close to each other as possible. The more they smell alike the more likely Anisette will welcome the brown one back.
Stretching their Legs
With Aretha and Nina having their lambs, Zinnia and her ewe lamb get out and stretch their legs. The lamb was bouncing around, and meeting all her new barn-mates. More information on our farm's site: terrapingardensfarm.com
Llama, Ewe & Lamb
Sarah took this picture of the black ewe lamb who was using her mother to shade her from the unseasonably warm sunny morning. Kuzco gave the ewe lamb a few good, long sniffs and seems to accept her as part of his group. Zinnia left the lamb with Kuzco while she went to have a drink. The lamb just moved into Kuzco's shadow while the llama sniffed her. More information on our farm's site: terrapingardensfarm.com
Aretha and White Ewe Lamb
Aretha had twins. Her Black ewe lamb is out of the shot. This is her all-white ewe lamb, just getting her legs after being born a few hours before. More information on our farm's site: terrapingardensfarm.com
Protective Pose
Zinnia lets us get as close as we want to her ewe lamb, but she did push Manta away at one point. This stance is a protective one. She was trying to decide if the lamb was safe to stay there while she took a drink and then had some hay. More information on our farm's site: terrapingardensfarm.com
Lots of Ewes
Zinnia and her ewe lamb on the left. Caramel is at the feeder while a very pregnant (next?) Anisette watches. The lamb liked this spot out of the sun that her mother chose for her. More information on our farm's site: terrapingardensfarm.com
