- Arabica & others
Hover over image for Notes which will identify the sheep. The one in the middle facing the camera is Arabica. She is small, but definitely still growing. Excellent first-time lambing and mothering experience. Nice balance of friendliness and standoffishness. Ewe at front with horns is Zinnia, one of our top ewes. Can see her lovely outer coat. Her son, Branch, is the white face at the lower right of the image. The darker ewe with horns in the top right is Nina. She is 5-years-old, and the 2 times she has lambed she has given birth to big, heathy, single ram lambs. She is a bit standoffish, but excellent at lambing and mothering. Can be a bit aggressive with lambs that are not her own.

Manta has nice clean legs. It took a while for her face to shed, but when it did it really revealed her nice face.
Zinnia is a real cool cucumber, who is also sweet. She loves having her head scratched, especially where her horns meet her head. She is excellent at lambing and is an attentive, but not hovering mother. She consistently twins. Zinnia has leadership qualities.

Nina is the slightly darker ewe with the black face staring at the camera. Her mother Aretha was a flock leader, and I think that is why Nina is a follower. She didn't get covered this year, and so she has been bonding with the other adult ewe (Bella, sold) who also didn't get covered.
Caramel just may be our best true Navajo-Churro. She has a beautiful, clean face, no wool on her legs or belly. She is an easy lamber, and a great mother. A bit standoffish, and she keeps her lambs close by.
Aster was born in 2012 to Zinnia. She has her mother's amazing horns and elongated nose. She has beautiful white wool with nice balance of hair coat. Clean legs and face. Black tears around her eyes, but otherwise all white. Aster lambed for this first time this year, and produced a lovely, and big ewe lamb (Bramble). She did excellent job lambing, and has proven a good mother.
Anisette is definitely a flock leader. She is very smart, cautious, a bit aloof (unless you have grain), lambs very well, and is an excellent mother. Beautiful clean face and legs.
